The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, invited Italian businesses to invest in Albania for lower taxes and safe profits.

“Our country has growth potential and huge investment opportunities in energy, agriculture and especially in the food-agriculture business. In our opinion, most opportunities are being offered in tourism. Our agencies have 5% more requests than they can accommodate each year, due to the lack of supply”, Rama said.

In the Albania-Italy economic forum, there were 200 Italian companies, with a total turnover of 17 billion EUR.

“This shows the great attention that the Italian economic system has for Albania. For Italy, Albania could be the entrance gate to Western Balkan. This is a very important and strategic role”, said Ivan Scalfarotto, former Italian Minister of Economy.

Italy is Albania’s biggest economic partner, but Italian businesses aim to lead the industrialization of the Albanian economy.

“Our presence here is not formal. For us, this is a new path, because we think that Albania and Italy could play a great game in the industrial aspect”, said Vincenzo Boccia, President of Confindustria.

Their requests to the Albanian economy is guaranteeing the regulations, judiciary reform and better infrastructure.
