Albania and Greece, joint police groups to patrol both sides of the border

The Chief of the Albanian State Police, Haki Cako, is attending a two day visit in Greece, where he met with his counterpart and the Alternate Minister of Public Order, Nikos Toskas.

The joint fight against drug traffic has been the focus of the next talks in Athens.

Albania and Greece agreed to have law enforcing agencies from both countries to better coordinate their work especially for inter-border crime.

For this reason, Albania and Greece will have joint groups of police officers patrolling both sides of the border.

Officers also agreed to have an exchange of technical experts and intensify their work for preventing crime.
