Air Albania’s first flight was to Istanbul, with students of excellence

“Air Albania”, the first air company which has the Albanian state as shareholder, has made its first flightwith the excellence students, destination Istanbul.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, who was present at the ceremony, told students that they are the bright face of Albania’s next generation.

“This is a symbolic flight with the students of excellence”, Rama said. “I am convinced that you are the best lucky start for our company of the flag”, Rama said.

The Airbus 319 airplane, with the Albanian logo on it, landed for the first time in Tirana this Friday afternoon, at the “Mother Theresa Airport” in Rinas.

The first flights will be towards Istanbul, but Air Albania will also have other destinations in European cities, such as Rome, London and Milan.
