The Independent Commission of Qualification announced that they referred to the General Prosecution all data that derived from the administrative investigation and audit process for the former Constitutional Court Judge, Besnik Imeraj.

Imeraj, whose mandate expired in 2022, resigned in his fifth year as Constitutional Court member for personal and health reasons.

Imeraj and Gani Dizdari were the two Constitutional Court judges who voted against the Vetting Law, with the argument the executive government would interfere with the process.

Judge Imeraj has been part of important cases, such as Gerdec, Ilir meta and the Durres-Kukes-Morina.

He resigned before the Independent Commission of Qualification started the Vetting Process.
