Another option speculated by Serbian media, about the territory exchange between Serbia and Kosovo, is that of an international conference that will discuss a solution for the stalemate.
Thaci’s declaration about the Presheva Valley joining Kosovo has spurred many debates in Serbia and Kosovo, leading to reactions even by foreign leaders, such as Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, who said that Balkan will no longer have border changes.
Her declarations were reinforced by the German Ambassador to Prishtina, Christian Heldt, who said that the discussions should focus on improving the lives of citizens of all ethnic backgrounds. He reiterated once again Germany’s support for Kosovo’s visa regime lift, but he didn’t give a specific date.
