38 Kurds from Iran and Iraq were detained in Novosela. They had arrived from Greece to Albania with the purpose o travel to Europe.
The Kurds may have entered from the Greek border in Saranda, and then traveled on foot through remote areas to evade the attention of the police.
Illegal immigrants are now using the areas of Devoll and Korca, but their path may have changed because of the winter snow.
The immigrants arrive from the camps in Greece, and their itinerary continues with Montenegro, Croatia and the rest of the EU.
After going through the necessary verifications, the immigrants are sent to the Refugee Shelter in Tirana.
